A manager needed some references checked right away. He called in the information over the phone. I jotted it down on a post it and passed it off to my office mate, who offered to check the reference for me since I was in the middle of something.

I get back to what I’m doing. The next thing I hear is her asking if someone named “Krystal” had worked for them previously. “Yes, Krystal Burgers,” she repeats. I all but fall out of my chair in hysterics and hang up the phone for her as I try to gain composure and explain to her that “Krystal Burgers” was actually the place of employment!
